The Network Strategy Director is a key leadership role for a future focussed thinker with automotive sales experience. 


About the Role:  

Reporting into the Managing Director for Ford NZ, this is a key leadership and relationship role created to develop and implement profit strategies and drive commercial growth focused on customer retention and Dealer excellence. 

Using your experience in the automotive industry, you will coach & mentor your team to review and leverage existing tools alongside recommending and initiating profit strategies for the mid-term to increase market share. This will involve influencing key skill teams to focus on a defined roadmap for success, leveraging resources and working alongside our Dealer Network through sound financial acumen. 
 

  Your key responsibilities will also include: 

  • Leading the development of the Commercial Vehicle Strategy 

  • Developing key relationships with quality vehicle manufacturers through the Ford Accreditation programme 

  • Overseeing our CX strategy and key metrics to drive focus across the Ford network whilst leveraging the Ford Academy to support building capability muscle 

  • Market representation reviews to ensure our future network is competitive and represented across the Ford Signature Programme 

  • Dealer Business Planning  

  • Company Vehicle and Used Car Sales Management  

  • Performance Management & Reporting against strategic goals 


About You:  

If you are a strategic thinker who also loves to execute on strategy, this is the position for you.  This is a forward-focussed commercial role requiring you to consider mutually beneficial outcomes for Ford NZ and our Dealers to ensure our Ford customers get the best experience.    
 

As well as having an impressive ability to drive change and take others on the journey, you will also have: 

  • Proven experience leading and motivating teams and unlocking their potential for growth 

  • Proven experience and a strong focus on the Customer Experience, influencing outcomes across key partners 

  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills. 

  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills. 

  • A talent for identifying new revenue streams through market research and curiosity. 

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to be able to influence and add value to Ford’s dealer partners. 


Given the breadth of the role, extensive experience and sales leadership in the automotive industry is essential to understand sale trends, the competitive landscape, and future commercial opportunities.
