About the Company: A rapidly growing Managed Service Provider (MSP) in Hamilton is seeking a skilled Systems Engineer specialising in Networks to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a company experiencing significant expansion in the IT services sector.

About the Role:
  • Design, implement and maintain network infrastructure solutions for clients.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, ensuring high quality availability and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated IT solutions.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor network performance and optimise as necessary to meet business objectives.
  • Document processes, configurations and changes for knowledge sharing.
About You:
  • Ideally a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a relevant field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a Systems Engineer role with a focus on networks.
  • Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting network equipment ( routers, switches, firewalls)
  • Experience with Arista, Cisco.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc) and VPN technologies.
  • Experience with network security principles and best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environment.
  • Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with cloud networking solutions (AWS, Azure, etc)
  • Experience with network monitoring and management tools
  • Strong problem solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Collaborative approach, enjoys working with others.
