About the Company:


At CDB, the vision is to be the greatest distributor and marketer of consumer electrical products in New Zealand.
As the Consumer Electronics Business Manager, you’ll play a key role in achieving this, leading a high-performing team and driving success across sales, product, and marketing.


About the Role:


Lead the Consumer Electronics Business Unit: Own and drive the overall performance, ensuring strategic growth and success with market leading brands in the camera / imaging and health & wellness categories
Retail Partnerships: Work closely with key retailers across New Zealand to strengthen relationships and maximise sales opportunities.

Sales & Growth: Develop and execute sales plans, manage key accounts, and expand product distribution.
Product Development: Source, develop, and launch new products while managing inventory and performance.
Marketing & Strategy: Work closely with marketing teams to enhance brand visibility and product reach.
Leadership & Team Development: Manage and mentor a team to ensure top performance and morale.
Supplier & Customer Relations: Build and maintain strong business relationships to drive commercial success.

This is an office-based role in the awesome CDB facility in Rosedale.


About You:

  • Strong commercial experience with a knack for strategy and negotiation.
  • A proven ability to lead teams and drive business growth.
  • Experience working with key retailers and understanding the NZ retail landscape.
  • Expertise in product pricing, promotional strategies, and ownership of trading terms with retailers.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and analytical skills.
  • Tech-savvy with experience in business systems and proficiency in Excel
  • A “make it happen” attitude with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
