About the Role:



The purpose of the Procurement Team Leader role is to ensure the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of all necessary materials and supplies required for production

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organisational goals.
  • Monitor market trends and negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure cost-effective agreements
  • Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships
  • Evaluate vendor performance to ensure quality cost and delivery standards are met
  • Oversee the procurement workflow to enhance operational efficiency
  • Identify and implement process improvements to reduce costs and lead times.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with legal, regulatory and company policies.
  • Contract administration     

About you:


You will have some good experience in a similar Procurement Leadership role within the Dairy, FMCG, or Manufacturing industries with team leadership experience a real advantage. You will be highly analytical with strong attention to detail and exceptional verbal and written communication skills. With your demonstrable expertise in advising management on procurement practices, you will have a solid grasp of procurement principles and best practices.
You will also probably have a relevant Tertiary qualification or equivalent work experience. CIPS would be an advantage.
