Tauranga Crossing is a bright and modern shopping centre in the beautiful Bay of Plenty. With over 100 retail stores, a premium Event Cinemas complex and three delightful dining precincts, customers can shop, dine and be entertained. Tauranga Crossing is conveniently located at the crossroads of SH29, SH29A and SH36 in Tauriko, Tauranga.
Tauranga Crossing are underway with the next phase in the development of the shopping centre welcoming new retail partners into their exciting retail mix.
With this next phase of development, they will extend the already impressive centre by moving Farmers into an anchor position. In addition, more specialty retailers will be added to complement the offer.

About the Role:
This role can be based in either Tauranga or Auckland.
Reporting into the Chief Executive, the focus of this senior level role is to lead, create and implement comprehensive integrated marketing strategies (and marketing team/agencies) to enhance Tauranga Crossing’s brand and market presence.
Coaching the Marketing Manager & Promotions Coordinator and, supporting agency relationships (e.g. creative/design, social media) and working closely with one of the experienced Board Directors, this role will have fabulous support to drive market leading initiatives in this space. Coupled with investment into research and data to create actionable insights for future success.
Ultimately this role is to enhance the brand and have retailers at the centre, marketing to the general public in certain areas, establishing where the shoppers are and demographics to ensure relevant and engaging messaging to drive foot traffic, time and spend in the Centre.
Channels utilised by the marketing team include:- in store, eDm, website, social media, events, PR, some print, mail drops, OOH, radio to name a few.
A collaborative role internally/externally, this is a broad integrated, commercial, creative, insights driven marketing role.
Key elements of the role include
Setting long- & short-term integrated marketing strategies, that are created and implemented on time and on budget, with continuous improvement and optimisation, ensuring strong ROI and enhancing the Centre’s brand and market presence successfully
This includes setting the strategy and then overseeing and supporting implementation for the team regarding the annual calendar for promotional events, advertising strategy, social media, public relations and retailer communications.
Analysing retailer trends/trading affecting the Centres performance
Overall responsibility for marketing budgets for the centre and corporate
Coaching and mentoring the marketing team (note there is a dotted line with the team as they report into the Centre Manager)and building key internal senior stakeholder relationships
Supporting marketing team with management of relationships externally including the retailers, leading, contractors, local business and government community
About You:
You will be based in Tauranga or Auckland.
We are looking for an experienced Marketing Manager looking for their next step up, or a Senior Marketing Manager looking for an exciting new role.
We require shopping centre marketing experience (or similar) for ultimate success in this role.
Therefore, you will have led and implemented comprehensive integrated marketing strategies for both a shopping centre and broader business operations previously. It’s OK if this isn’t recent experience, as long as you have some exposure to help drive your decisions and credibility.
We are looking for someone who is strategic, passionate, commercial, creative, insights & results driven. An innovative person here who is keen to try new things and be on top of the latest marketing trends and customer insights. Quite a list!
You will be a passionate and dynamic marketing leader. You will have a strong commercial understanding and be able manage marketing budgets.
You will be proactive, able to oversee leadership of the marketing function working closely with the CE and Board. You will be a fantastic coach/mentor for the team based in Tauranga.
You will have experience across these marketing channels - in store, eDm, website, social media, events, PR, some print, mail drops, OOH, radio
You will be a natural relationship person, and able to build rapport easily with internal and external stakeholders with clear communication, objectives and taking people along the journey, creating a cohesive team.
