About the Role:


This is a 12-month fixed term contract position based in Wellington and requires an immediate start, if possible.
We are on the hunt for someone that has the ability to transform complex data into actionable insights. As the Data & Analytics team leader you will play a critical role in guiding a dynamic team dedicated to enhancing strategic decision-making through high-quality business modelling and data analysis.
In this pivotal position, you will serve as a subject matter expert for the systems used by the team (Snowflake & Qlik), mentoring your team while fostering an environment of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
You will need to have a sound understanding of accounting concepts as this team is closely align with the finance function. Regular reviews will be required of financial models to ensure assumptions are tracking against actuals.


About You:


To be considered for this role, you will bring the following experience:
 

• Strong level of numerical and analytical skills
• Advanced SQL skills & experience using Qlik or other visualisation tools
• Political awareness and experience working within governmental processes
• Good understanding of accounting concepts
• Teritary qualification in computer science/ data engineering/ quantitative analysis or comparable
