About the Role:
We are seeking a pragmatic, creative HR Manager who is eager to be hands-on, implementing effective systems and processes, while working on strategy that sets everyone up for success.
You will be working closely with the CEO and peers on the SLT, identifying opportunities, mitigating risk, and setting the landscape for best practice HR.
It’s hand on - working in the weeds, while strategising in the creative blue sky! Nothing is too big, nor too small for you. This role will be the consummate trusted advisor. You’re commercial, you absolutely get what an entrepreneurial environment needs – and you will get to play out of your lane.
This position offers the flexibility of full-time or part-time, with hours being accommodated to allow a harmonious balance. It’s an onsite role however – presence being imperative. Travel to various sites across the country is part of your remit, building engagement and synergy nationwide.
About You – THIS PART MATTERS THE MOST!
It goes without saying that you’ll be a highly organised, seasoned HR generalist, with good working knowledge of NZ Employment Law.
You will know what ‘great’ looks like, bring a broad range of industry exposure, and understand the nuances of a fast paced growth business.
Confidence, pragmatism and the ability to work in the grey will set you apart. ‘ Precious’ does not bode well with you and you don’t take offence easily. Yes – you’re resilient; you’re confident; but you’re respectful – with a charisma and “coolness” that draws people to you!
Your story will have a common thread of “continuous improvement” no matter what level you work at; and you are totally committed to the cause. Referees will vouch for this.
Be it strategy or day-to-day operations, you approach everything with enthusiasm and energy, and you can pivot at the drop of a hat; unfazed by change or opposing ideas. Simply put, you’re aspirational, loving the thrill of business success.
You follow through – doing what you say you’ll do, earning trust of those around you quickly. With this however, you’re no pushover, and you empower accountability in others – always striving to lift the bar.
