About the Role:
- This BDM role will be the first NZ in-market employee for Barry Callebaut and will hold the responsibility of leading both B2B and Foodservice business through NZ and the Pacific Islands.
- Leveraging a strong existing network, you will unlock opportunities with food manufacturing customers, providing a strong technical understanding of product and service capabilities.
- Working closely with Barry Callebaut’s gourmet distributor, you will drive growth through bakery / patisserie accounts, along with hotels, restaurants and cafes.
- Reporting into the Managing Director – South Pacific, you will be working closely with your Australian colleagues including Operations and Supply Chain partners.
- Develop and deliver the NZ / PI sales plan, including connecting key internal stakeholders and partners, distributors and customers.
About You:
- With a proven track record in driving B2B growth in the food industry, you will have existing networks through food manufacturers to tap into.
- As a standalone employee in the NZ market, you will be a comfortable self-starter, and motivated to go out and win business / represent Barry Callebaut alone.
- You will have experience managing distributors, setting KPIs and holding them to account.
- You can act quickly and build relationships with people at all levels, particularly with specialist food preparers such as chefs or bakers.
- Ideally you will have some experience exporting to the Pacific Islands or proven experience developing a market from scratch.
