About the Role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Sustainability Manager to lead our sustainability programmes and initiatives. 

You will work closely with the Director of Sustainability and Brand to implement strategies and initiatives that align with New Zealand’s environmental goals and regulations, such as reducing carbon emissions, enhancing resource efficiency, and fostering Kaitiakitanga (guardianship of the environment).

This role is an opportunity to drive meaningful change within our organisation and the communities we operate in.

  • Collaborate across our teams to implement sustainability strategies aligned with company goals and values.
  • Set measurable goals to reduce environmental impacts, including carbon emissions, energy use, and waste.
  • Stay informed on emerging sustainability trends, technologies, and regulations in New Zealand and globally.
  • Manage sustainability certifications (e.g., Toitu Envirocare, NABERSNZ) and collaborate on International WELL Building Institute certifications.
  • Implement company-wide employee wellbeing and community sustainability programs.
  • Collect data, monitor sustainability performance, and coordinate the creation of annual sustainability reports.


About You:
  • Around 3 years of experience working in sustainability.
  • Studies in sustainability or related fields are advantageous.
  • A strong understanding of sustainability certifications (e.g., Toitu Envirocare).
  • Proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong technical and scientific understanding of sustainability with excellent analytical skills, including experience in creating detailed sustainability reports.
