Accounts Administrator – Project Support

About the Company:

Our client is a well-regarded organisation in the public sector, who are undertaking a significant and exciting project. You’ll be joining a relaxed, flexible, and down-to-earth culture and they are known for fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. The office is based in Wellington Central and offer a hybrid work environment.

About the Role:

This temporary role involves supporting a finance team with a project requiring high-volume support across accounts payable and receivable (AP/AR) processing. You’ll assist with reconciliations, have exposure to streamlining processes, and adapt quickly to their financial systems (Oracle). You will work alongside the Accounts Assistant to focus on project-specific transactions whilst they tackle the day-to-day BAU tasks. The role also works closely with the Financial Accountant.
This organisation has a robust finance team, so experience working in larger, more complex environments and collaborating with a diverse team is essential.
They offer a hybrid work policy, with Monday as an anchor day, and flexibility for working from home on two other days. Flexibility will be needed as some in-office presence may be required for meetings as needed.

About You:

We’re looking for an experienced and detail-oriented accounts professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. You will ideally have:

  • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in high-volume and end to end AP/AR processing.
  • Proven ability to adapt to new systems and processes quickly.
  • A proactive approach to learning and a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to handle competing priorities.
  • Experience with Oracle, or other large financial systems.
If you’re available to start between 27th Jan and 5th Feb and have the expertise to contribute to a critical project, we’d love to hear from you.
