Financial Accounting Lead

About the Role:

Excellent permanent opportunity based in Auckland, where you will be able to combine your strong financial accounting experience with your ability to build strategic partnerships with senior stakeholders throughout an organisation.

This is a pivotal role reporting into the head of finance requiring you to lead a team of 3 in financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting and modelling. You will also collaborate closely with senior leadership to ensure commercial, strategic and financial objectives are met.  In addition, you will manage the profit & loss and balance sheet for your business units and work closely with project stakeholders at various levels ensuring financial and project management.  

This is a complex organisation that requires someone ideally from the construction or teleco industry that is excited to join a high performing finance function where you can combine your robust financial management, process improvement and technical ability, along with your leadership experience in one role.

Strategic partnering is a key element to this role, so being comfortable presenting and adjusting your language depending on your audience is imperative to being successful.

About You:

• CA/CPA qualified with strong financial accounting and reporting skills.
• Extensive experience in financial accounting, cost management, forecasting, budgeting, financial and project management.
• Experience working in complex and large organisations in a fast-moving environment.
• Advanced analytical skills enabling ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Comfortable working cross functionally.  
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to build strong relationships at all levels within an organisation.
• Experience within telco or construction industries preferred.
