About the Role: 

This newly created Event & Competition Lead position will play a pivotal role in the execution of the strategic goals of NNZ. As NNZ undertakes a transformation across the wider marketing & events team, this is a really exciting time to be joining the organisation,

Reporting into the Head of Events & Competitions, you will operationalise the event strategy of NNZ, focussing on consistent delivery, best in class product and an overall exceptional fan experience.

You will also work closely with the Commercial and Marketing / Brand teams to innovate – offering new, never before seen events and ideally attracting new partners.

Grassroots and community events will also be of high priority, ensuring netball is accessible to as many young kiwis and players new to the game as possible.

Key responsibilities include;

  • Lead the operational execution of all NNZ events, including the ANZ Premiership, National Netball league, Silver Fern matches and other key competitions
  • Develop event strategies to increase attendance, fan engagement and overall event impact
  • Support framework design for the management and delivery of all NNZ events
  • Support development of the ticketing strategy for each NNZ event
 

About You: 
As a passionate events professional, you will possess significant experience developing and managing best in class events.
  • You’ll have experience with implementation of ticketing for sports / events including an understanding the ‘back end’ of ticketing systems
  • You’ll have previously delivered community and national tournaments and have a strong skillset of bringing cross functional internal and external stakeholders together
  • Outside of a proven track record of delivery top class events, you will be an excellent communicator, highly organised and possess the ability to work autonomously.
