About the role:
- This is a newly created leadership role reporting into the CMO, managing a Graphic Designer direct report, working closely with the Event & Competitions Lead, Digital & Content Lead, Senior Media & PR Advisor and Digital Analyst.
- This is a really exciting time to join as Netball New Zealand undertakes a marketing transformation strategy to really drive optimal customer experiences. Specifically for this role - ensuring that all marketing and brand integrated (TTL) activity is targeting and reaching relevant customers throughout multiple touch points, ultimately driving engagement across all platforms, events and partnerships.
- This role is responsible for managing Netball New Zealand’s marketing & branding strategies in line with the strategic goals. Promoting the sport and engaging with audiences, enhancing the brand identity consistently across all visible platforms, events and partnership activity is from grass roots to high performance across NZ and internationally.
Key responsibilities include, to:
- Lead and implement integrated marketing strategies to promote competitions, events and initiatives driving audience engagement, ticket sales, participation, and viewership. This includes ANZ Premiership and Silver Ferns activity.
- Lead and implement integrated brand marketing strategies across digital channels, events, merchandise and communications across diverse audiences.
- Use data to create actionable insights.
- Support Partnerships, working closely with the commercial and sponsorship team to ensure marketing initiatives and activation opportunities are on brand and drive mutually beneficial outcomes
- Lead a graphic designer, you will be familiar with Adobe Creative Cloud.
About You:
- You will have 5+ years’ experience managing TTL brand, comms and marketing in the services sector. Bonus if you have sport, events, entertainment or media in your career also, we are looking for proven leadership experience here also.
- With experience leading successful campaigns across the channels of - Digital marketing (including social media, edms, website, online video), events, print, OOH and TV. Working with cross functional teams, creative/media agencies and partners (e.g. sponsors)
- You’re a natural leader who is calm, resilient and focussed.
- With exceptional relationship management skills, collaborating with internal teams as well as agencies and partners. A natural influencer working with a diverse range of stakeholders with the end sports customer always top of mind.
- You will be Analytical – you will be familiar with Google Analytics and Social Media analysis.
- You will be familiar with CRM programs and maximising database opportunities.
- You will have excellent project management attention to detail, be both strategic & hands on with a creative mindset.
- You will have a passion for sport and sports marketing with a deep understanding of the role branding plays in growing brand engagement.
