About the role:
- This is a newly created leadership role reporting into the CMO, managing a Digital & Content coordinator direct report, working closely with the Marketing & Brand Lead (and team), Event & Competitions Lead, Senior Media & PR Advisor and Digital Analyst.
- This is a really exciting time to join as Netball New Zealand undertakes a marketing transformation strategy to really drive optimal customer experiences. Specifically for this role - ensuring that all digital and content channel specific activity is targeting and reaching relevant customers throughout multiple touch points, ultimately driving engagement across all platforms, events and partnerships.
- This role is responsible for aligning and managing Netball New Zealand’s comprehensive digital content strategy across all platforms, including websites, social media, email and mobile applications. Promoting the sport and engaging with audiences. This is across NZ and nationally, supporting both high performance and local sport.
Key responsibilities include, to:
- Lead, develop and implement the digital content strategy, across websites, social media, email and mobile applications, optimisation of digital contents (SEO) and user experience
- Lead and implement the content calendar and asset creation (e.g. social media posts, video content and written contenDevelop and implement all monitoring, reporting and optimisation of all digital activitiest)
- across the business
- Lead digital innovation and engagement, staying across all digital trends and technology, including new tool adoption, creating ultimate digital experiences to enhance fan interaction and creating opportunities for digital partnership and sponsorship
- Lead a Digital & Content coordinator
About You:
- You will have 8+ years’ experience managing digital and content marketing in the services sector. Bonus if you have sport, events, entertainment or media in your career also, we are looking for proven leadership experience here also.
- You are passionate about best practice strategic digital and content marketing, being the digital champion within the organisation
- You will be highly competent in photo, video and audio editing, with strong copywriting skills.
- You will have solid proven experience leading successful digital and content channel specific strategic campaigns across websites, all digital channels and social media. This is a broad role.
- You will be Analytical – you will be very familiar with Google Analytics and Social Media analysis.
- You will have strong knowledge of SEO, UX, digital best practices and digital reporting & optimisation
- Who you are :-
- You will have worked closely with the wider brand, marketing and events team supporting them on TTL marketing as well as creative/media agencies and the wider business.
- You’re a natural leader who is calm, resilient and focussed.
- With exceptional relationship management skills, collaborating with internal teams as well as agencies and partners. A natural influencer working with a diverse range of stakeholders with the end sports customer always top of mind.
- You will have excellent project management attention to detail, be both strategic & hands on with a creative mindset.
- You will have a passion for sport and sports marketing with a deep understanding of the role digital and content plays in growing brand engagement.
