About the Role:

Reporting to the Retail Brand & Marketing Manager, this is an exciting newly created role in the dynamic Customer Engagement team at House of Travel. You will support the owner-operators to create engaging marketing and community connections that breathe life into the brand at a local level. You will play a pivotal role in helping increase brand presence and connect with customers locally.

This isn’t necessarily a “on the tools” marketing role. This is however a great role for a marketing professional who has spent their career to date executing campaigns across multiple channels, in a fast paced, highly matrixed environment who is now ready to take that knowledge and work alongside the retail network to guide them on local marketing initiatives. This doesn’t mean you won’t be to rolling up your sleeves to get ‘the job done’ though!
Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with owner-operators to develop and refine local marketing activity and activations for their target customers.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing guidance, fresh ideas, and best practices to enhance local marketing performance.
  • Support owner-operators in creating actionable marketing plans and guiding their successful implementation where needed.
  • Deliver ongoing training and support on marketing platforms, systems, and emerging trends in retail travel marketing.
  • Monitor and evaluate marketing performance, offering insights and recommendations for continuous improvement and shared learnings across the group
  • Serve as a key liaison between the central Customer Engagement team and owner-operators to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging and brand execution.
  • Support the delivery of local events and activations and find ways to scale these where necessary across the diverse House of Travel network

About You:

  • Proven experience in retail marcomms, with a focus on planning, events, activations or consultancy.
  • Support with end-to-end campaign management across all channels, with an increasing focus on social and digital engagement.
  • Strong understanding of retail, and a passion for the travel industry.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build trust and foster collaboration.
  • Ability to analyse data and metrics to inform decisions and offer actionable insights.
  • Critical thinker with a passion for inspiring innovative, yet practical ideas and solutions.
  • Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities across diverse stakeholders and identify opportunities locally or regionally
  • Most of all, you will have the ability to “think big” but know how to execute locally.
