About this Role:
Tribe have been engaged exclusively to recruit an exciting newly created Senior Employment Relations Advisor position within our fabulous client’s People and Culture team. In this fantastic new position, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and supporting a positive work environment.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an HR generalist with a strong background in employment relations, or for an ER specialist who is looking for their next challenge.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to work closely with the wider team to collectively deliver strategic and practical advice on a wide range of employment relations issues. You will play a role in ensuring that any emerging issues are effectively resolved early, managing sensitive or complex cases end-to-end, and supporting the growth of ER capabilities within the HR Operations function. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of policies and processes, driving continuous improvement in the organisation’s ER approach.
Some of your key areas of focus will be:
- Provide guidance to HR Operations and managers on the appropriate actions and strategies for case management and develop and deliver training across the organisation.
- Resolve employment disputes using mediation, negotiation, and conflict resolution techniques and conduct thorough workplace investigations.
- Maintain an ER register to track trends and identify learning opportunities for managers, ensuring consistent application of advice across the organisation.
- Work closely with the People and Culture leadership team to develop and implement collective bargaining strategies and contribute to collective bargaining negotiations.
- Foster strong relationships with union representatives and manage union obligations effectively.
- Coach the wider HR Operations team to develop their ER expertise, helping raise the overall capability within the People and Culture function.
About You:
We are looking for someone with:
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to develop well-reasoned solutions to complex ER challenges.
- Excellent written communication skills for producing high-quality advice, reports, and documentation.
- An understanding of employment legislation, collective agreements, and industrial relations with a passion to grow in this area.
- Experienced in managing disciplinary actions, performance management, and investigations.
- Excellent relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills across all levels of an organisation.
