Mo te Pakihi | About the Organisation:

Te Hui Amorangi ki te Ūpoko o te Ika (Te Ūpoko) is the Māori Anglican Church of Te Ūpoko o te Ika. They serve whānau, hapū, iwi and communities in Wellington, Wairarapa, Kāpiti, Horowhenua, Manawatū, Rangitīkei, Whanganui and Taranaki.


Mō te Tūranga | About the Role:

The Office Administrator provides vital support to Te Pīhopa, the Kaiwhakahaere, and kaimahi, while also offering secretarial assistance to three Trust Boards. You will maintain an efficient file management system and handle sensitive member records. A key aspect of the role involves coordinating events, overseeing logistical arrangements, and managing communications with stakeholders. In addition, you will provide comprehensive administrative support, including diary management and liaising with suppliers, ensuring smooth operations and fostering a welcoming environment for all visitors.
 
This is a full time, permanent position based in Te Papaioea Palmerston North.


Mōu | About You:

As the right-hand person to the Kaiwhakahaere, you will be proactive, adaptable, and bring strong skills in administration, executive/personal assistance, and/or office management. With experience taking minutes, you'll enjoy supporting Boards by leveraging your organisational abilities. You will demonstrate initiative, work well independently, and thrive in a collaborative team environment. Your excellent communication and planning skills will shine as you organise events, overseeing logistics both before and on the day. With a keen attention to detail and effective time management, you'll excel in this role. Familiarity with te reo Māori is beneficial, as is comfort working within a kaupapa Māori organisation.
