About the Role:

Reporting to the Head of Advisor Relationships, the Customer Success Manager is part of a sales squad of three and is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with clients across Auckland and Northland. The Customer Success Manager will manage a portfolio of advisory firm clients, optimising their experiences and in turn growing revenue and market share.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage a portfolio of accounts, providing advice, solutions, and support, including upselling and cross-selling TMNZ products.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior tax and finance professionals, handling complex deals and client transactions.
  • Create account strategies to drive growth and maximise revenue.
  • Manage sales pipelines and optimise client solutions while ensuring loyalty.
  • Work collaboratively with your squad (Customer Growth Manager and Customer Success Consultant) assisting with overflow tasks as needed and providing support/mentorship to the Customer Success Consultant.
  • Track advisory firm performance, oversee tax pooling reviews, and manage the annual pool sweep process for your portfolio.
About You:
  • We are looking for someone either from an accounting firm or in a tax position in a corporate.
  • CA qualified or a qualified lawyer.
  • Previous tax management experience or affiliation with the tax and/or accounting industries is essential.
  • Experience in building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with the ability to gain trust and influence.  
  • You will be a team player with the ability to work with your sales squad to achieve goals.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, including forecasting, and profit margin analysis, to manage account profitability.
  • Intermediate Excel skills and be adaptable in working with various software applications
  • You will be an excellent communicator (both written and oral), with strong numerical/mathematical skills.
  • This role requires some travel around New Zealand, and you will also attend client functions out of hours.
