DC Manager

About the Company:

Our client is a highly reputed kiwi e-commerce business, showcasing hundreds of local and international leading brands, and a large variety of premium products. After a recent move to a larger site, they are now after a DC Manager to take the reins as that set up continues. Leading the team and operation with efficiency, improvement and optimal service delivery always top of mind.

About the Role:

This is a role suited to a confident DC/Warehouse Manager experienced in leading in an agile environment, with a natural level of ambiguity while this ‘settling in’ period continues – a track record in a DC set up and systems implementation will set you above.

You’ll be across all inbound, outbound and inventory functions – leading the team and workflow across the day-to-day while also liaising closely with other stakeholders on refining process and looking at the bigger picture and longer-term operation.

Despite this business being an established one, they maintain that same ‘start-up’ drive to make decisive and beneficial improvements - with one eye on the now, and the other on the future. Initially focused on further establishing best practise across all facets of the new DC (all while maintaining BAU) and then continuing to lead this fundamental area of the business into the future.

About You:

You’ll need to be an experienced warehousing leader, with a thorough ‘on the floor’ understanding of all functions, and a passion for developing teams and improving on process.

You’ll be dependable, enthusiastic, driven, resilient, solutions focused, a great communicator and someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will have led on a DC move and have a track record of helping to define and implement best practise from the ground up – bringing a team on that journey with you.
