School Relationship Managers provide hands-on support to schools and IT providers to ensure smarter, safer internet for learning.
This role is based in the Head office in Parnell, requires substantial term time travel and comes with a car, plus offers WFH days and health insurance.
About the Role:
Reporting into the Regional Director this role will nurture vital customer relationships and act as the trusted representative of a business that is providing essential services to New Zealand schools.
This relatively autonomous role requires development and execution of the regional development plan and engagement with ICT providers to schools. There are 7 other colleagues in your team who do the same role as you , each managing around 300 schools.
You will be spending the majority of your time where it matters most; face to face with customers across regions of the North Island (the role is based in Auckland). You will build relationships with key stakeholders in schools and in the community to ensure consistently high levels of customer satisfaction and communication. We are looking for people centred, natural relationship builders who ensure schools feel looked after.
Through consultative conversations and an involved approach, you will gain understanding of customer pain points, successes, queries and opportunities to expand service offerings.
We are looking for a natural relationship builder passion and experience in both the education sector and technology industry.
This role requires someone to understand the technical side of the business and to be able to credibly discuss IT products and services with stakeholders.
This role requires travel during the school terms which you will manage, usually one week travelling one or two nights and the next week a non-travel week. This role comes with a company car and fuel card.
About You:
To be successful in the School Relationship Manager role, you will:
Be a relationship builder first and foremost. You will be adaptable, comfortable and really enjoy building relationships with a range of different Stakeholders (principals, ICT leads/providers)
You will have experience in the IT or Education sectors with a genuine interest in the NZ education system
We really are looking for a level of ICT experience here, or at the minimum have an interest and basic understanding of IT products and services
Ok with travel in the North Island and a full driver’s licence
Happy to work autonomously and remotely as part of a larger team
An organised and confident self-starter who cares about their community
You will have credible cultural competency and responsiveness to support all schools and Kura effectively. We are looking for a bicultural connection in this role to access Kura and community relationships.
You will have solid account/relationship management skills within a region building relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
You will have a good cultural understanding of New Zealand and te ao Māori plus an understanding or learning of te reo Māori.
You will be a passionate key player delivering smarter, simpler digital technologies to schools and kura so they can focus on teaching and learning.
This role can be fast paced but isn’t Corporate in terms fo ways of working.
This role is self-managing and often on the road or working remotely so you will be comfortable with this.
