About the Role 

This is a newly created leadership opportunity for an experienced Pricing Leader to work with an exceptional Commercial Manager. Your role will be to ensure that Gull’s pricing decisions are executed with precision across their extensive network of service stations. You will lead a small team, manage pricing processes, and deliver value by maintaining competitive price positions and optimising market share. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the execution of pricing strategies and tactics as determined by Gull’s Sales and Operations Planning Process or the Commercial Manager.
  • Oversee price data sources, pricing tools, and systems used to deploy prices across retail sites.
  • Conduct scheduled and ad-hoc price reviews according to a shared roster with Pricing Administrators.
  • Administer site-level performance tracking and reporting for the Pricing team.
  • Provide regular updates for Gull’s weekly and monthly performance reports.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports on pricing issues, opportunities, and initiatives.
  • Develop and monitor exception-based reporting to identify trends and issues and bring these to the attention of the Commercial Manager and senior management.
  • Ensure Pricing team members receive the information, support, and direction needed to be effective and motivated.
  • Address and resolve performance or other issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Contribute to the analysis of retail site performance and competitive pricing as required by the Commercial Manager.

About You: 
  • At least 3 years of experience managing a small team with demonstrated leadership and performance management skills.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed performance targets consistently and make timely, informed operational decisions.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a systematic approach to managing tasks.
  • Effective communicator, with the ability to build relationships at all business levels and identify opportunities proactively.
  • Enjoys setting personal performance goals and has a competitive drive for achieving results.
  • Previous experience in the retail fuel industry, including knowledge of pricing strategies and sales and operations planning.
  • Proficiency in using complex Microsoft Excel models for data analysis and reporting.

This team currently operates on a 7 day a week shift basis and you will need to be available for some intermittent weekend work as and when required.
