The Position Management Design Lead is a pivotal role that will be focused on creating, developing, and implementing a comprehensive position management framework. This 6 month fixed-term/secondment opportunity is vital for establishing a foundation that supports sustainable workforce planning, integrates financial forecasting, and aligns with human resources processes. The successful candidate will create governance structures, business rules, and policies that provide people with the tools necessary for ongoing position management.
In this role, you will:

- Document and refine business processes, workflows, and standard operating procedures related to position management. Collaboration with the HRIS and People Insights team is essential to outline system requirements and to put in place proper reporting structures.
- Implement establishment cap management policies with a focus on accuracy and affordability. This entails setting up governance mechanisms for approvals related to position movements and changes, along with creating tracking systems that report position allocations and workforce forecasts.
- Engage with stakeholders, sharing your expertise in position establishment and management to ensure best practices are adopted throughout the organisation.
- Develop communication materials to assist leaders and staff in navigating the new framework effectively while providing regular updates to leadership teams throughout the development and roll-out process.
- Work alongside the People Insights team to devise dashboards that offer insights on workforce trends and position movements, ensuring data integrity is maintained for informed decision-making.
- Finally, you will create a comprehensive transition plan for handing over the position management framework for ongoing use.
About You:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Extensive experience in workforce planning and position management.
- Robust knowledge of HR processes and systems, especially in establishing governance frameworks.
