About the Role:

As the Distribution Manager your role is to collaborate and build relationships with 3PL service providers as well as ensuring that Freight bookings are in place to support targets and business objectives. You will manage, coach, and lead the warehouse staff, both internal and external, effectively planning resources to meet the daily operational needs.

  • Monitor the performance of 3PL and assess their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements.
  • Manage all warehousing activities and performance, effectively drive 3PL’s execution.
  • Ensure adequate warehouse capacity and optimize storage layout and planning at warehouses.
  • Maintain accurate inventory control and associated warehouse inbound, outbound, and stock transfer processes, lead regular physical counts with warehouse teams and reconcile discrepancies between physical and system stocks.
  • Manage and prioritize incoming and outgoing shipments, meeting all customer requirements and on time in Full shipment delivery.
  • Prepare weekly and Monthly reports regarding Warehouse Operations
  • Investigate and relay any input and output imbalances Logistics & Transport Ensure trucks are booked via SAP entry. Ensure batches are matched based on priority and truck availability.
  • Prepare Quarterly freight rates in conjunction with 3rd party service provider.
  • Ensure alignment with Global freight desk on market requirements.
  • Work with 3rd party service provider to ensure freight bookings are in place to meet  targets.
About You:

Ideally, you will have a good level of experience with managing 3rd party warehouses as well as freight knowledge within FMCG industry will be an advantage.
Your communication and leadership skills will be second to none, and your interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills, negotiation skills, leadership skills and strong supervisory, organizational skills will be clear.
 
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and proactively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Knowledge of SAP and EWM and MS Office proficiency.
  • Ideally a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management / CSCP or equivalent
