About the Company:
The District Nurses, is a “blue chip” Tasmania-wide organisation with over 120 years history providing clinically driven, high quality community care for the State’s older persons. We are building on this history, determined to steward the organisation into its next phase of success driven by commercial acumen and exceptional client service as a leader in the Aged Care sector.
Our organisation has been on the crest of the wave of progress from the early championing of the rise of women’s involvement in healthcare, and the professionalisation of nursing, to today’s leadership in building a match fit organsiation, the development of a viable commercial operating model and developing industry leading clinical governance processes and frameworks.
The District Nurses has a large nursing workforce, which is unusual in the sector. This has allowed us to hold a strong clinical bent to our service delivery, and also represents significant untapped diversification opportunity. It is off this clinical base that we have continued to build best in class clinical governance and Aged Care Standards performance which will continue to be a core focus in the next stage of business growth.
