Tribe Chiefs

1995 - 2012

James Brooke and Jenny Jones founded two specialist recruitment and search agencies, which go on to become New Zealand market leaders. These businesses are purchased by Australian private equity organisations and subsequently list on the Australian Stock Exchange

May 2014

Tribe launches in James and Jenny’s kitchen!  

After time out with their tribe, Jenny and James launched Tribe with a focus on bringing high-performance culture, diversity, employment brand collaboration and partnership-driven commercial outcomes to the forefront of recruitment and search practices

Tribe becomes a New Zealand Immigration Accredited Agency 

Tribe gets the Accessibility Tick and is proud to start our relationship with Diversity Works NZ

2019

Tribe hits 10,000 LinkedIn followers. Advised by LinkedIn we are the Number One followed agency (under 50 staff) of any agency in Aotearoa! 

LinkedIn also advises that our content has 10 times the engagement of other agencies in New Zealand 

Tribe launches a Sustainability Code and reworks all business practices with the help of Green Business HQ - reduce, reuse, recycle

Tribe invests substantially in insights driven database technology and multiple API’s to continually access the best integration technologies. Research and data start driving our business. 

A full-time BI Analyst is employed to focus on technology-driven enhancements, improving our capability (and therefore our offering) every single day 

Tribe launches 'The Tribe Way' - the way we do things round here - founded on the principles of Ngakau PonoNgakau Maia, Ngakau Hihiko and Ngakau Mahaki
