You will work 5 days from the office based in East Tamaki and have a flexible start time.


About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join on a fixed-term contract from September to the end of March, and possibly longer.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in processing and streamlining the accounts payable processes and implementing key internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payable Processing: Ensure all invoices are accurately processed and up to date. Tackle the high volume of email correspondence in the AP inbox and establish a routine for daily processing to maintain workflow efficiency.
  • Creditors Reconciliations: Introduce and manage creditor reconciliations, particularly for major suppliers, to enhance accuracy in our accounts.
  • Data Clean-Up: Assist in cleaning up the Accounts Trial Balance and streamline vendor accounts to distinguish active from inactive, preparing for data migration into SAP.
  • Internal Controls: Work on improving the receipting process, ensuring there are no overlaps in control. Implement robust internal controls to strengthen the AP processing system.
  • Cash Flow Reporting: Support the finance team in preparing accurate cash flow reports by providing timely and precise accounts payable data.
  • Team Support: Provide backfill support for team member for the month of November.



About You:

  • Proven experience in accounts payable.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably with knowledge of SAP.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
