Data Engineer

About the Role:

This is a permanent position based in Auckland. The role sits within the expanding data and analytics team where you will work closely with key business stakeholders to ensure the development of the back-end processes to deliver important projects and initiatives. You will take a lead role in developing data pipelines, optimizing data sets, infrastructure and systems to ensure the data is available to help support key business decisions.  

Strong experience designing and extracting data using Azure Synapse, Spark and Data/Delta Lakes to help develop reporting solutions is important. You will also be responsible for developing ETL processes from multiple sources and monitoring SQL data marts to ensure optimal performance and data integrity.

About You:
 

• Knowledge of data warehousing, data architecture and data modelling principles.
• Demonstrable experience with Azure Synapse, Power BI and DAX is important. 
• Experience working with Python, R or SQL.
