About the Role:

As the Senior Group Accountant, you'll support the Finance Manager in completing corporate accounting activities for a number of allocated subsidiaries. Your responsibilities will include month-end close, consolidation and review of group results, internal and external reporting, balance sheet reconciliation, treasury management, and tax compliance.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare and review financial and management accounts for your allocated subsidiaries.
  • Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely clearance of reconciling items.
  • Consolidate group financial results, analysing variances to budget and maintaining documentation.
  • Prepare year-end statutory financial statements and coordinate external reporting.
  • Provide robust financial analysis to support business decision-making.
  • Manage daily treasury functions including cashflow and liquidity management.
  • Ensure tax compliance and assist with insurance renewal processes.

About You:

To be considered, you will have the following:
  • CA or equivalent qualified
  • 3-5 years' experience in a commercial role post CA experience, preferably in a group role.
  • Strong understanding of NZ IFRS, Excel, and accounting systems.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Familiarity with NZ income and indirect tax requirements.
  • Calm, diligent, and dedicated with a focus on meeting deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering outcomes.
